Does anyone have any good homemade and/or simple dessert recipes?

Anything's fine!

I just like to learn new dessert recipes.

Random example:

You can make donuts with biscuits from a can!

Cut out a whole in each flat circle of dough.

Fry them.

Sprinkle powdered sugar, cinnamon, brown sugar, or whatever it is that you like on them!

You can also make turnovers out of biscuits from a can. :)

Now your recipes!Does anyone have any good homemade and/or simple dessert recipes?
My favorite dessert:

Mango Float

1. Mix chilled all-purpose cream(1 1/2 cup) and condensed milk (3/4 cup)

2. Layer graham crackers, cream and mangoes. I like doing 2 layers.

3. Chill and serve.

You can substitute other fruits or chocolate or tropical fruit cocktail instead of mangoes.Does anyone have any good homemade and/or simple dessert recipes?

My friends mom made this and its AWESOME! You need a can of peaches, white cake mix and some butter. Pour the peaches out in a glass cake pan...then dump the cake mix on top...melt the butter and pour that on top of the cake mix....no mixing....and then follow the cake box directions as far as temp and time go...you just want it to be golden brown on top...goes great with some ice cream on top...enjoy.
This is a very quick and simple no bake dessert cake. It uses graham crackers and a pudding mixture. It tastes just like an eclair, but there is enough for a crowd!! It is a great recipe for children who are learning to cook, there is no baking involved or any power kitchen tools. Just a bowl and a spoon!';

INGREDIENTS:

2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant

vanilla pudding mix

1 (8 ounce) container frozen

whipped topping, thawed

3 cups milk 1 (16 ounce) package graham

cracker squares

1 (16 ounce) package prepared

chocolate frosting

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium bowl, thoroughly blend the pudding mix, whipped topping, and milk.

2. Arrange a single layer of graham cracker squares in the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Evenly spread half of the pudding mixture over the crackers. Top with another layer of crackers and the remaining pudding mixture. Top with a final layer of graham crackers.

3. Spread the frosting over the whole cake up to the edges of the pan. Cover, and chill at least 4 hours before serving.

Ingredients

Fruit (fresh, frozen, whatever, sliced/drained)

Sugar

Phyllo Dough (thawed)

Butter (melted)

Optional Ingredients:

Turbinado Sugar

Cardamom

Cinnamon

Optional Garnishes:

Thai Basil or Mint (fresh)

Powdered Sugar

Ice Cream, Whipped Cream or Creme Fresh

Mix some of your favorite fruit (fresh, frozen, whatever--water drained) with sugar (to taste) and ground cardamom (optional), in a pan and heat until bubbly (sugar is melted and mixture has thickened slightly.) Suggested amounts: 1 cup fruit, 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp cardamom.

Set aside to cool. At the same time, lay a sheet of thawed phyllo dough on your cutting board and brush with melted butter, repeat for about 4-6 layers. With the last layer, don't brush with butter, but instead spread with some of the fruit mixture above (not too much, you don't want a fruit explosion.)

Fold the edges in like a burrito, and then roll up. Brush the top with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (I like using Turbinado sugar.)

Place on a baking sheet (use a little non-stick spray if desired.)

Heat in your toaster oven, set between 320 and 355 for about 12-15 minutes (toasters vary a lot so check frequently to make sure it doesn't burn. I use a Panasonic infrared toaster when making this recipe.)

Cool for about 10 minutes and serve with ice cream, whipped cream, creme fresh, and/or a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a sprig of fresh mint or flowering thai basil.

*Note: I made this tonight w/ blueberries %26amp; cardamom--was a very nice combination of flavors. I also used only 3 sheets of phyllo and it seemed lighter and crispier.
