Dessert Recipes?

I'm trying to prepare a wonderful dessert for an upcoming chruch event does anyone have any ideas?Dessert Recipes?
Sweet Heavenly Rice Dessert


INGREDIENTS





* 1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained with juice reserved


* 1/2 cup instant rice


* 1 (3 ounce) package non-instant vanilla pudding mix


* 2 cups milk


* 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows


* 1/3 cup chopped pecans





DIRECTIONS





1. Bring 3/4 cup reserved pineapple juice to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in instant rice and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let steam, 5 minutes.


2. Prepare pudding mix with milk according to package directions. Fold marshmallows into hot pudding. Stir in pineapple, pecans and rice mixture. Chill until serving.Dessert Recipes?
Quick Banana Chocolate Chip Bars








1 Medium Ripe Banana, peeled


1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour


戮 Cup Brown Sugar, packed


1 Teaspoon Baking Powder


陆 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon


录 Teaspoon Salt


1/3 Cup Olive or Vegetable Oil


2 Tablespoons Milk


1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract


1 Egg


录 Cup Chopped Nuts


陆 Cup Chocolate Chips (or what feels good)











Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray small rectangular or 9x9 square baking pan with non-stick spray.





Chop or mash banana. Combine with flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, oil, milk, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips to this mixture OR save them to add as topping, sprinkling on top of mixture after poured into the pan.





Bake for 25-30 minutes.





Cool, cut %26amp; Enjoy!!!
Berry Trifle





12 oz cool whip, thawed


8 oz sour cream


3.4 oz box instant vanilla pudding


9 in angel food or pound cake, cubed


2 pints blueberries


1 1/2 lbs strawberries, sliced





In a large bowl mix together the cool whip, sour cream and pudding mix. In another large glass bowl, put a layer of cake in the bottom, top with the cool whip mixture then layer with fruit. Repeat the layers until you have run out of ingredients or the bowl is full.


*you can use any kind of fruit and pudding mix you want,


strawberries %26amp; kiwi and chocolate pudding or use peaches and different types of melon, any works for the recipe.*








Berry Cobbler





4 tablespoons butter


3/4 cup all-purpose flour


3/4 cup sugar


1 teaspoon baking powder


1/4 teaspoon salt


3/4 cup milk


2 cups of sliced fresh peaches or nectarines, or whole blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or a combination of fruits (or a 12-ounce package of frozen berries)


1 tablespoon sugar


DIRECTIONS


Adjust oven rack to upper-middle position, and heat oven to 350 degrees.


Put butter in an 8-inch square or 9-inch round pan; set in oven to melt. When butter has melted, remove pan from oven.


Whisk flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Add milk; whisk to form a smooth batter. Pour batter into pan, then scatter fruit over batter. Sprinkle with remaining 1 Tb. of sugar.


Bake until batter browns and fruit bubbles, 50 to 60 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream or a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
try a cobbler, either blueberry or peach
I would make a really nice cake such as damson plum cake.





It is a German recipe and is great served with cream. Believe me there won't be any left over.
Mandarin Orange Pie





Ingredients:


2 graham cracker crusts


1 large can mandarin oranges (drained)


1 12 oz. tub Cool Whip


1/4 cup lemon juice


1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand is what I use)


1 small bag chopped pecans





Mix all ingredients together and put in pie crusts. Refridgerate for a few hours.......





May also add some crushed pineapple drained....if you like.
