Does anyone have any good dessert recipes?

I want something that is tastes good and is somewhat good for you. I'd prefer something that takes under 5 hours to prepare and cook. You can leave your own recipe or a link to a good website offering good recipes. And, please don't put www.foodnetwork.com %26lt;--I already went there. Low sugar Banana Pudding


(Diabetic friendly)





1 box low fat vanilla wafers


1 large box sugar free vanilla instant pudding


2 cups low or fat free milk


1 8 oz. carton lite Daisy sour cream


1 8 oz container lite cool whip


sliced bananas





Line glass dish with vanilla wagers. Mix pudding with 2 cups milk and sour cream. Add 1/2 container thawed cool whip. Mix well. layer pudding mix, sliced bananas, a few vanilla wafers.m You should make about 3 layers, ending with pudding on top. Spread remaining cool whip on top and chill.





Low sugar Chocolate Surprize Pie





1 prepared low fat graham crust


1 large box sugar free instant chocolate pudding


2 cups low fat or fat free milk


1 8 oz. carton lite cool whip


1 pkg. cream cheese at room temp. can use low fat





Mix cream cheese with about 2 tablespoons of the milk. May add a teaspoon of sugar or splenda if desired. Spread evenly into pie crust.


In the same bowl, mix pudding with milk, add 1/2 carton cool whip. Spread over cream cheese layer. Cover top with remaining cool whip. Chill at least 3 hrs before serving.





Both of these recipes are diabetic friendly, however, you can use regular pudding and milk, etc. if desired.

EASY LEMON DESSERT





2 eggs, beaten


juice of 1 1/2 lemons


1 cup sugar


1 cup whipping cream


1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs





Combine ingredients and cook in a double boiler until thick. Allow to cool. Whip 1 cup cream. Fold into the lemon mixture.


Cover a shallow square glass pan with graham cracker crumbs, or alternatively, use a glass pie dish. Spread the lemon custard mixture on top.





Refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut into squares if a square pan was used, or wedges if served from a pie dish.





This recipe has been a Summertime favorite which has been in our family for over 60 years.





Variation: These can be served in custard cups for individual servings.








LEMON CHEESE DESSERTS WITH STRAWBERRY


SAUCE





2 c. flour


1/2 c. brown sugar


1 cube butter


1/2 c. chopped nuts








filling:





1 3/4 c. whipping cream, whipped


1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese


1 tsp. vanilla


1 c. powdered sugar








Sauce:


1 pkg. frozen strawberries


pinch of salt


1 pkg. Danish dessert


2 tbsp. lemon juice





Mix above as for pie dough. Spread on cookie sheet. Bake at 375掳F until brown, let cool and crumble up. Put 1/2 crumbs on bottom of pan, reserving the balance for the top of dessert.


Mash cream cheese until soft, add other ingredients to the cream cheese and spread on crumbs.





Cook according to directions on Danish dessert package.





Let cool and spread over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle rest of crumbs on top.








AMBROSIA DESSERT SQUARES





1-1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs


1/2 cup butter, melted


1 pkg. (6 serving size) coconut cream pudding and pie filling


1 pkg. (250 g) cream cheese


2 medium bananas


1 can (10 oz.) mandarine orange segments, drained


1 tub cool whip, thawed (1 liter size)





Mix graham crumbs and butter. Press firmly into bottom of 13 X 9 inch pan. Bake at 350潞F for 5 minutes. Cook pie filling mix as directed on package for microwave or top of stove. Beat cream cheese to soften then whisk in hot filling. Cover with plastic wrap and chill about 30 minutes. Slice bananas over crumb crust. Stir pudding and fold in oranges, then spoon over bananas. Spread whipped topping over filling. Chill 3 hours. Cut into squares. Makes about 12 servings.


*TIP* Substitute 2 medium oranges, peeled and sectioned, for the canned mandarines.





Prep Time .. 20 minutes plus chilling.

Almond Banana Cake.


450g Ripe Bananas, mashed.


50g Almonds, chopped.


50ml Oil.


50ml Unsweetened Natural Yoghurt.


100g Sultanas/Raisins.


3/4C Oat Bran.


3/4C Wholemeal Flour.


1/2C White Flour.


1 +陆t Baking Powder.


1/2t Almond Essence.


录-1/2C Reduced Fat Milk.

Mix first 4 ingredients together

Place sultanas/raisins, oat bran and wholemeal flour in a bowl, then sift in white flour and baking powder.

Add the dry mix to the wet. Add almond essence and mix well. Add enough milk to form a smooth cake batter.

Pour into a lined cake tin and bake for about an hour at 150C.

Chewy Oatmeal Squares - serves 18





1/2 cup vegetable oil


Vegetable oil spray


1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar


1 4 1/2-ounces jar strained applesauce(baby food)


1 tsp vanilla extract


2 cups quick-cooking oats


1/3 cup chopped walnuts


1/2 tsp baking powder


1 tsp ground cinnamon





Preheat oven to 325 F. Spray a 9-inch square pan with vegetable oil spray.


In a mixing bowl, combine oil, brown sugar, applesauce and vanilla. Add oats, walnuts, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix until blended.


Press mixture evenly and firmly into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.


Cut into 36 squares while hot. Allow to cool in pan. Store in an airtight container.

no bake cokies... really good... SUPER easy!





2 cups white sugar


4 teaspoons cocoa


1/2 cup milk


1 stick butter


2 tablespoons peanut butter


1 teaspoon vanilla


3 3/4 cup quick oats


1 cup coconut (if you dont like coconut you can just use more oats)





In a medium size saucepan combine sugar, cocoa, milk and one stick of butter. It's best for butter to be at room temperature.


Melt butter at medium heat and stir all ingredients together. Continue to stir until all ingredients come to a boil.





Once boiling, remove from heat and allow to stand for one minute.





Add vanilla and peanut butter and mix well. Stir in oats and coconut.





Put a large sheet of aluminum foil or wax paper out on the counter and place little scoops of your new treat on it. Serve while still warm or at room temperature.
